For entry to the new P1, procedures commence in mid November of the year before your child is due to begin school. Forms will be available from the school at this time. Look out for the city-wide advertising campaign and at your local nursery for dates and information.

For entry to the new S1, all parents of P7 pupils who are in attendance at Parsons Green will automatically receive confirmation of our catchment secondary school Portobello High mid November. No further action is normally required if you want your child to attend their catchment secondary school. There is also a choice to select Holyrood High School (our local Catholic Secondary). This is explained in a letter to all P7 parents during the Autumn term which comes centrally from the Council.
If you live outwith our catchment area and are in nursery or P7 and wish to attend Parsons Green Primary in P1 or Portobello High in S1, you need to make a placing request. For all other stages, please contact us to enquire if we have space available in the relevant year group.
