It is extremely important that your child attends school regularly. If your child is unwell at home and is going to be absent, please let us know as soon as possible by either phoning (0131 661 4459) or emailing school admin@parsonsgreen.edin.sch.uk. If your child is off for more than one day, it is not necessary to phone each day, but please telephone on the day of his/her return.
Where your child was expected to attend school and has not appeared in the morning and you have not informed us of any absence, you will be contacted by the school as early as possible in the day to confirm their whereabouts.
If your child feels poorly at school we usually let them sit quietly for a few minutes. If they continue to feel unwell, we will usually contact the emergency contact and decide on an appropriate course of action.
If your child has an accident at school, we have qualified first aiders who can deal with a range of first aid scenarios. We will contact you even if no further action is required in the event of an accident, just to let you know what has happened.
